This was such a special and memorable day. My big girl Savvy was turning 5, and I had been thinking about capturing the memories of her birthday in full like this for months. Actually getting to spend it in Byron Bay was very spontaneous and last minute, as we'd just found out my husband James was going to be doing an extended stay there on a television project he was working on - so I thought, screw it! I'll do the 9 hour drive to Byron with 2 kids (both under 5 at that point haha) so Savvy doesn't miss out on getting to spend her birthday with dad. It was hard yakka, but I'm so glad we did it. A huge thank you to our Airbnb host Jen - we loved staying in your beautiful "Betty Boop" property!
